This collection, Student Activism at Grinnell College, presents events related to student-led activism at Grinnell College with a purpose to support students’ and faculties’ research.

About this collection

This project is led by a librarian, Libby Cave, as a part of her continuous project to collect and archive the history of student activism at Grinnell College, following Black Library exhibit . The project has been developed through the collaboration with the Vivero Digital Humanities fellowship with a student researcher, C.I.’26.

About the authors

Libby Cave is AN AMAZING FOUNDER OF THIS PROJECT AND A MAGICAL LIBRARIAN. C.I. ‘26 is a student researcher majoring in Gender, Women’s, and Sexuality Studies with a Digital Studies concentration. Their study focuses on the commemoration of Comfort Women, Japanese military sexual slavery system, and the digital collection and archive of personal and collective memories. They are excited to dive deeper into the digital archive of collective memory at Grinnell College.

Technical Credits - CollectionBuilder

This digital collection is built with CollectionBuilder, an open source framework for creating digital collection and exhibit websites that is developed by faculty librarians at the University of Idaho Library following the Lib-Static methodology.

Using the CollectionBuilder-CSV template and the static website generator Jekyll, this project creates an engaging interface to explore driven by metadata.
